Well, the twins started daycare finally. My mom left us to go back to Illinois Easter, we were so privileged to have her with us the first 5 months and not have to put the twins in day care. This was a photo of them ready to go that morning.....
They love their daycare keepers though which makes it allot easier. They are happy when they see her and they are happy when we pick them up in the afternoon. Still hard having someone else spend more time during the week with them then you get too but in this day and age it is what most of us have to do.
The biggest fear of my babies getting sick happened sooner then I thought it would. Monday, Jackson was running fever took him to Dr to find out he had Bronchitis. Poor guy....
Then I didn't feel too good on Thursday and went to the Dr to find out I had strept...lovely. I thought maybe Madison was out of the clear but then found out that was not the case. Saturday took her to the Dr because she had gook in her eyes and had similar symptoms of Jackson and sure enough she had bronchitis and pink eye.....
So, now our household has almost recovered. Both still have a cough and Madison still is very congested but hopefully it will pass soon enough.

Our first Easter
My Dad, baby sister, and mom came down for Easter. My family has a home in Georgia and we went up to enjoy Easter Sunday. We went to the church I grew up in and they all were so pleased to meet the twins. It was a special time because it was the church because my Grandma was the last charter member.
I of course had to go all out and had Madison and Jackson baskets made that they will be able to use year after year....(you cant see it very well but Madison's is also monogrammed)
Madison fit in her basket and was just so happy to get it
Jackson was very interested in his bunny and looked so handsome....
Our sweet family and photos of their after church outfit....

5 MONTHS
5 months have flown by. My sweet babies are starting to become their own person with their own personalities, their own likes, and even wanting their own time. Nana (my mom) has been with us for the first 5 months and she had to return home to Illinois so Momma and Daddy are on our own.
Sleep: still sleeping wonderfully. Same routine, bath time around 8:00 PM, dressed for bed, and then momma sings them "you are my sunshine" as we rock. They sleep comfortable until about 6:30 Am usually. Gives mom a little me time and gives me time to get ready in the morning.
Feeding: still mainly breast milk however we have started to incorporate more solids. We are at twice a day, cereal around noon and then around 6:00 PM we have either green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, banana, or pears. Pears we just started and Jackson loves them. He cant get enough. Madison doesnt quiet have a favorite at this time. She doesn't show much interest in the solids at this point so she usually just gets milk in her high chair why brother eats.
Diaper Size: both still in stage 1-2 Costco diapers.
Clothing: Jackson is wearing mainly 6 months in everything. Still able to wear allot of his 3 months and 3-6 months however 6 months gives him the most room. She has not changed much from last month. She is still wearing 0-3 mainly but is able to wear several of her 3 month outfits.
Milestone:
They both rolled over from stomach to back. It was a one time but they keep trying. They still hate tummy time though. They love to sit up.
Madison decided while I was taking photos of her in her Easter outfit she was going to sit up on her own....She thinks she is such a big girl.
Jackson doesnt care to sit up much, he has such a strong back muscle and he will straighten his whole body so he lays flat but he did hold his bottle on his own the first time and does ever once in a while still, such a big boy.

First solid foods....
Well the time has come to start introducing solid foods. I felt it was a little too early based off their age but they are sitting up very well (supported) and showing interest in our food so the Dr said it was time to start. They will stay 90% at least breast milk but just starting to practice with solids.
They started with cereal which neither one of them liked and then I mixed some sweet potatoes with it and they liked it a little bit more. Right now we are using the bumbos but since we will only increase the eating times, I have ordered high chairs which they will be a little more comfortable in I am sure. As of today they have had cereal (which they hate still), sweet potatoes and their favorite bananas.
Madison's first bite of cereal....
Jacksons first bite......
And...why not skype with Aunt Ali to tell her about the yummy bananas I just ate....
