Today I am participating in SUYL – Moms of Multiples over at Kelly’s Korner.  Welcome to all of you stopping by!  Please take a look around and feel free to read our infertility blog that led up to our miracles at Took long enough but now TWO perfect.

I have a sweet set of boy/girl twins who are 19 weeks old born premature at 33 weeks.  You can read my birth story here.  Our family of 5 (we have one furbaby) is trying to adjust to our new lifestyle.  I am a southern girl who married a midwestern boy, we went through years of infertility and have one angel baby watching over us.  We were blessed with our two miracles last year and could not be prouder parents.  They are the first grandkids on both sides and are just everyones bundles of joy.  I am so in love, have been since the first ultrasound. Its so amazing two me how my body was able to nurish these two perfect little humans.  I feel sorry for those that are not parents of multiple because they will never know how it feels have 4 eyes (or more)  following you around and looking at you knowing you are the most important person in their life and the coolest :)   Or the four feet that are resting in your belly as you lay them on your chest and the 20 fingers that constanly rubbing your arm or grabbing your hands.  Ohhhh the love and joy that comes from the sweet babies God has blessed me with.

I am excited for a peek in your life and how twins have blessed you. So happy to meet you and please leave a comment if you would like to be blog buddies so I can add you to my blogroll.

Some tired babies on the last day getting a nap on their aunts....

4 months

Wow, I can not believe the babies are 4 months old.  My husband and I was just talking about the scary few days when I was put on monitors in the hospital and just anticipating the day that our babies would come and wondering how big they were going to be, who they were going to look like, how we were going to prepare and etc....now they have been out of the hospital for 3 months and have just flourished.

Sleep: we have the best babies in the world.  For the past month the babies have been going to bed at 8:30ish and sleeping through the night till about 6:00ish and if that's not the amazing part, when they get up at 6 they get fed and then fall back to sleep for another few hours.  Its amazing!  Although, we started a routine with them where they get a bath about 7:30 little bit of cuddling and reading a book, then off to bed they go. The only problem is they get so fussy after 8 PM it makes it hard to do anything afterwards.
Feeding: babies have been strictly on breast milk until their 4 month appointment and we were given the green light to start introducing solids.  Have not made much progress with the feeding.  They currently have a bottle of about 4 oz  every 3 hours.  Madison is a very slow eater, she takes her time and enjoys every drop. Jackson gets so impatient and just takes big gulps, you have to pace him by taking the bottle in and out of his mouth throughout the feeding till he slows down.

Diaper Size:  Madison just graduated to Stage 1 and Jackson has been in Stage one since about 3 months.

Weight: Jackson: 13 lb 7oz
               Madison: 10 lb 14 oz

Length: Jackson: 24 1/4 in
               Madison: 22 12 in

Clothing:   He is currently wearing 0-3 or 3 months in pants, most of his clothes now are at least 3 months and he just now starting to wear 6 months PJ because of his length.  She is still my little girl, she has been wearing newborns up until about a week ago and she got too long for her PJs and I bought her some 0-3 months and 3 months.  Most of her clothes she can not wear anything bigger then 0-3 but ready for her to wear 3 months because I have so many cute clothes for her in that size.
Milestone:  Both of them love to go from laying down position to sitting up.  Madison will go from laying down to sitting and then she will put her legs under her and stand straight up.  Neither one of them like tummy time but they both will lift their head straight up if you lay them on their tummy in your lap or on the couch.  Both are little coo'ers and both have found a little chuckle.  Cant wait to hear their first big laughs.

First: swimming in the pool and playing on the beach
