First visit to IL....

This is a late post but in May we went to Illinois, it was the babies first visit and it was a busy visit.  My baby sister graduated with her BSN.  The twins did great through the service, I was so proud of them.

BAPTISM

Since we were in IL we decided to have the twins baptized at Jason's family church that he also was baptized in, it was such a sweet ceremony.  I had planned for this day since the day they were born, I knew what I wanted them to wear and found me the perfect dress.  Well, at the beginning of the service, my zipper split.  So embarrassing, I ran out to the bathroom, took the dress off and just could not get the zipper unstuck.  Luckily my mom had a sweater I could put on that covered my zipper but I will always remember that, so although not a perfect day, it was close.....

After the service we had a celebration brunch at my mother in loves and enjoyed some laughs and fun with family....

Later that day, we went to my parents home and had a combined meet the twins/ Alison's Graduation cookout.....

Happy Father's Day!

Wanted to post the beautiful picture of my husband with his three kids.  Everyone is sooo happy....

My Dad bought the twins these adorable chairs and they loved them, even Louie!

My Dad had his first father's day as "Papa" in his new chair......

My First Mother's Day!

Such a sweet time.  This was my first mothers day with babies in my arms.  I have celebrated in the past with my sweet fur baby, Louie and with our angel baby in heaven but this was the first with the twins. It was so special.  Had some sick babies so didn't do much but we went to Brunswick and spent the weekend in our family home with my Nanny and I got gorgeous flowers from the hubby.

The sweet faces I got to see that morning.....

My beautiful flowers...

6 months....

Wow, I know I am really late but I thought I would get this one in before I have to do the 7 months.  My babies have gotten so big, I Just can't believe how fast their first year is going.

Sleep: The babies both got sick with bronchitis and their coughs were keeping them up.  Jackson still slept pretty good, going down around 8 and not getting up till around 5 but Madison would wake her self up coughing usually around 2 and then be back up around 6.  I will say now that the cough is gone they for the most part are down around 8 and up about 5 but they do get up periodically to eat and then go back to sleep.  Still feel blessed they sleep as long as they do.  They are still rocked to sleep at this point...I just love snuggling with them till bed time.

Feeding: Breast milk and solids.  They now get cereal for breakfast with a fruit, snack time and then dinner.  They have started on stage 2 so getting more of the combos and meats.  Jackson has started to not like green beans or peas and will gag but he is getting better about it.  Madison likes it all ;)

Just had to put a little momma note: Jackson twirls his foot as he eats.  Its the cutest thing :)

Diapers:  We are currently wearing size 2 Huggies on their cute monkey butts.....
Clothing:   Jackson is becoming my big little boy.  He is now wearing size 9 month sleepers but 6 month daily wear  He is so long but has such a tiny waist.   Madison is wearing 3 months mainly and can wear some 3-6 months.  Sleepers she is in 6 months because of her length.

Photo on right:  Madison and Jackson at 6 months beside their preemie clothes.  Crazy how little they once were and how much they have grown.

Milestone:  They have both found their voices and their laughs are just the most adorable things.  Jackson has such a sweet chuckle and Madison has her little southern peach laugh.   They just make your day light up....

We have incorporated dinner to our night routine and they like to talk with each other....

Daycare and the start of the on going petri dish....

Well, the twins started daycare finally.  My mom left us to go back to Illinois Easter, we were so privileged to have her with us the first 5 months and not have to put the twins in day care.  This was a photo of them ready to go that morning.....

They love their daycare keepers though which makes it allot easier. They are happy when they see her and they are happy when we pick them up in the afternoon.  Still hard having someone else spend more time during the week with them then you get too but in this day and age it is what most of us have to do.

The biggest fear of my babies getting sick happened sooner then I thought it would.  Monday, Jackson was running fever took him to Dr to find out he had Bronchitis.  Poor guy....

Then I didn't feel too good on Thursday and went to the Dr to find out I had strept...lovely.  I thought maybe Madison was out of the clear but then found out that was not the case.  Saturday took her to the Dr because she had gook in her eyes and had similar symptoms of Jackson and sure enough she had bronchitis and pink eye.....

So, now our household has almost recovered.  Both still have a cough and Madison still is very congested but hopefully it will pass soon enough.

Our first Easter

My Dad, baby sister, and mom came down for Easter. My family has a home in Georgia and we went up to enjoy Easter Sunday. We went to the church I grew up in and they all were so pleased to meet the twins.  It was a special time because it was the church because my Grandma was the last charter member.

I of course had to go all out and had Madison and Jackson baskets made that they will be able to use year after year....(you cant see it very well but Madison's is also monogrammed)

Madison fit in her basket and was just so happy to get it

Madison thought her dress was a lovie, she had it in her mouth the whole morning....sweet girl!

Jackson was very interested in his bunny and looked so handsome....

Our sweet family and photos of their after church outfit....
